The Association was formed in 2018 by the owners and crews of Rustler 24s and Pipers in the St Mawes area, all of whom were keen to race the 2 designs on equal terms in local Club races and regattas.  Although racing was an important motivation for creating the Association the members were also keen to develop a vibrant social fleet as part of St Mawes Sailing Club.
